We’re Tanja and Tom, a husband-and-wife team who dreamed of creating a life rooted in nature, love, and togetherness. What began as a shared vision has grown into Shimers Brook Farmstead—a place where our passions for animals, the outdoors, and celebrating life’s moments all come together. From the quiet mornings spent caring for our horses and sheep to the joy of welcoming couples and families to the farm, every day here is a reflection of the life we’ve built side by side. This farm is our story, and we love opening its gates so it can be part of yours too. We can’t wait to meet you and share the magic of the farm with you.

Tanja also brings her artistry to the farm through her long-standing bridal hair and makeup business,VALENTINE BRIDE, helping brides look and feel their best on their wedding day and during photoshoots here at the farm. She’s also a chainsaw carver, TANJA'S TIMBERS, turning wood into one-of-a-kind works of art that reflect her creativity and love for craftsmanship. She also adds horse training to the mix while working with patience and care to build trust and harmony with each animal.
Tom brings his own dedication and hard work to caring for the land and animals, making sure the farm thrives and remains a place of peace and beauty.
